If you are looking for high quality, high performance on a budget, then look no further than the VSETT 8 electric scooter. It’s small, compact and folds beautifully with a telescopic steering column allowing you to slide this baby under your desk or stow it easily in the boot of your car or on public transport. It’s driven by a 600w brushless DC hub motor in the rear wheel, so it’s not insanely torquey but it’s got load of power to take on hills and heavier loads without any decrease in performance. An ice-cool LED strip down the front of the steering column makes you super-visible in low light situations, enhancing your safety on and off the road.

VSETT claim a maximum range of up to 60km for the VSETT 8 Super 19.2Ah electric scooter. At LOCO we recommend that the achievable range for most electric scooters is about 50% of the manufacturer claimed maximum range. We would expect to see an achievable range of 30km on the VSETT 8 Super.

Super-smooth braking is delivered by front and rear drum brakes as well as a regenerative brake on the rear hub motor. Hydraulic disc brakes are not essential for an electric scooter at this weight-to-power ratio. Front and rear swing-arm coil suspension along with 8.5×2 inch pneumatic wheels provide maximum comfort under any driving conditions, whether you are driving on or off-road.

Front and rear lights are accompanied by integrated front and rear indicators controlled by switches in the handlebar grips. These are the best built-in indicators we have seen in an electric scooter.

How to assemble the electric scooter:

The electric scooter is delivered assembled in its box. Remember to fully charge the electric scooter before your first ride. The charging time for this model is around 4 hours, it has two charging sockets and it is therefore possible to order a second charger to cut the charging time in half.

The Scooter VSETT 8 comes with a charger, a tool kit, three RFID keys and an instruction manual.

How to unfold / close the electric scooter:

To unfold the electric scooter; All you have to do is pull on the metal latch on the underside of the handlebar and unfold the scooter. The lock closes as soon as the handlebar is fully unfolded.

The handlebar height is adjustable between 76 cm and 103 cm on this model. Remember to check regularly that the locking tab is properly tightened to avoid vibrations. The handles can also be folded.

All you have to do is pull out the locking sleeves and flip down the handles.

How to start the electric scooter:

To switch on the electric scooter VSETT 8, you have to press the Power button for 3 seconds. The display will light up immediately.

Driving speed, battery level, mileage and speed are shown on the display. The RFID sensor is located at the bottom of the display. Remember to present your RFID key on the reader before starting the display. To switch off the electric scooter, press and hold the Power button for three seconds.

Maintenance and care:

In order to extend the service life of a lithium-ion battery, it is strongly recommended to keep the charge level of the battery between about 80% and 100%. Do not charge the battery when it is full (do not leave it to charge overnight), and never discharge the battery completely. When you charge your scooter, be sure to connect the charger to the power supply before connecting the electric scooter.

If you store the electric scooter for several months, it is important not to fully charge the battery but to store the electric scooter with a charge level of approx. 60%. Always store the electric scooter in a place protected from moisture and at a temperature of at least 5 ° C.

It can take up to 8 hours to fully charge a VSETT 8. It is therefore recommended to order a second charger in order to cut the charging time in half. Charging a lithium battery should be done under adult supervision. It is also important that you charge your electric scooter away from flammable materials (fabrics, paper, liquids, etc.).
