We observed a sturdy body and incredibly stable ride during our test that shows how robust its frame and body are. It can last at least years, even continuous exposure to urban riding.
High Power Motor
For front-drive scooters, the greater the speed, the higher the acceleration and torque the engine rotates. As you increase the acceleration, the faster the engine turns. The motor of Xiaomi Pro 2 bounds to the wheel and uses DC electric current.
It is a brushless motor that produces 300W of base and 600W of maximum power that is good enough for most commuters and leisure riders. The power lets the scooter travel at high speeds and provides a respectable top speed and control. It offers solid climbing and lifting capability for practically any adult.
The Xiaomi Pro 2 ships with a top speed of 15.5 miles per hour to conform to local traffic regulations, but certain regions will provide the motor with a limited speed. It has excelled at the top speed of the previous model. However, the new Pro 2 still retains some jerky movement at the start.
Officially Xiaomi Mi Pro2 supports 20 percent uphill. It seems that Xiaomi is sticking to safer options here, as the electric scooter can go much higher in hill climbs than it has demonstrated in previous tests. In the event of even steeper slopes, the scooter can still push and causes it to climb. It will ascend all the more challenging hills but can only maintain a slow speed on the toughest of slopes.

The estimated travel range of the Mi Pro 2 is 28 miles, and undoubtedly, this is the most powerful aspect of this scooter. This model significantly outsells its competitors and outperforms those between 15 and 18 miles inner-city travel range.
Using the Pro 2 is undoubtedly advantageous for people who bike to work and bike around town. Such an extreme range of options may take you on almost any course of action. Mi claims the tires to be explosion-proof, showcasing their sturdiness. The tires on this model are highly resistant to puncture, proving themselves to be more durable.
Although things can go wrong, it is rare to encounter flat tires on Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter. It comes with an additional tire that is good for replacement in case of any unfortunate event. This is an excellent implementing policy by Xiaomi to support its customers who had put down funds and is wise on their part, given the current price of tires.
In the current models, the fenders become stronger and sturdier to support the tires’ weight better. These fenders have an additional steel support plate for the wheels. This is a fundamental difference between the current version and the previous one.
E-Scooter Suspension
Despite being a highly durable and comfortable electric scooter, Xiaomi Pro 2 electric scooter does not have a dedicated suspension system. It only relies on the pneumatic tires to support the ride on rough and bumpy terrain. The lack of a suspension system seems a negative point on the specs sheet.
But on our test ride, we were amazed to see its level of comfortability. The passage seems smooth, and the lack of suspension does not feel much most of the time. Its comfort level is the pneumatic tire, as they are much more efficient in absorbing road bumps than solid rubber tires.
Antilock Braking System
The Xiaomi Pro 2 has exceptional stop power and comes with a low risk of failing. It has a disc brake on the rear wheel and responsive electrical regenerative braking on the front wheel. The braking distance is equal on both brakes, as long as one of the systems works. Both these brakes guarantee a braking distance of six meters which is not bad for an electric scooter.
The levers of the brakes trigger at the same time to aid in controlling the vehicle’s braking, which increases the driving’s system reliability and promotes safety. This has an electronic antilock braking system (E-ABS), which is very important for scooters because it increases the vehicle’s control on any surface, such as wet or slippery surfaces.

Xiaomi released a new version of their Pro Scooter: Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2. In this article I first want to give you an overview of the different Xiaomi Scooter models and point out the different version of Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2. Then I do a review what differs the Pro versions from the others.
Xiaomi released 3 new models, including the new Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 (the international name is: Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2).
The new Xiaomi Scooter lineup consists of 3 new models:
- Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 – (Xiaomi Pro successor – often referred to as Xiaomi M365 Pro)
- Xiaomi Scooter 1S – (Xiaomi M365 successor)
- Xiaomi Scooter Lite – (Xiaomi M187 successor)
Versions of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2
Attention, different versions of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 are being sold: International Version, Chinese Version and German version. While International and Chinese Version are almost identical, the German Version differs from the others. Due to legal requirements e-scooters are only allowed to go up to 20 kph in Germany, so the German Version is limited to a max. speed of 20 kph! You can also easily spot the difference as the German version also has a second brake handle. All new verison of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 are euqipped with a fender that can hold a number plate, which is also required in some countries. Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 – Specs
So there is a new version of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2, but what’s the difference compared to the current Pro version? Spoiler alert: not much. It seems Pro 2 is an improved version of the existing model and some issues were fixed: wiring, cooling,… The only visible difference is the rear fender (which also caused problems with the Pro 1 model) and the international version of Pro 2 is using the fender designed for the German version that offers space to mount a number plate (see picture on the box above).
Xiaomi Pro 1 vs Pro 2 – Differences
Driving Modes / Display The differences between Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 and Pro 1 are hard to spot. A minor change are the driving modes. While Pro offers ECO mode with 15 km/h as slowest driving mode; Pro 2 features a Pedestrian mode with 5 km/h. The display shows a different symbol.
Lights Reflectors The headlight was upraded from a 1W LED to a 2W LED. The rear light also changed and the international version is now using the same fender as the German version holding a brighter rear light and a place to mount a number plate. Xiaomi Scooter Pro is also equipped with reflectors on all sides which is a requirement in many countries.

Review – Xiaomi Scooter Pro versions (Pro 2 / Pro) vs regular versions (1S / M365)?
In this review I want to point out the differences between the Xiaomi Scooter Pro versions (Pro 1 Pro 2) and the Standard versions (1S / M365). I’ll cover all different features of the Scooter and start with a spec comparison and then add my Комментарии и мнения владельцев from drifing them, which are labelled with this icon:
Size
Xiaomi Scooter Pro versions are a bit taller compared to the regular versions M365 and 1S. The Pro versions are 1.5 kg heavier because of the larger battery that provide a further range. Below the footstep there’s a foldout stand to sturdy park your scooter. The footstep of the Pro versions is 5 cm longer and 1 cm wider than M365 / 1S allowing a more comfortable ride.
The differences between Xiaomi Pro and Xiaomi M365 seem small, but the impact for me was bigger than I expected. Having a little more space on the footrest makes it way more comfortable to ride. I enjoy a better position while driving Xiaomi Pro (my shoe size if that matters: US 10 / EU 44). Also the extra centimeters on the rod in height are noticeable and comfy. On the other hand you clearly notice the 1.5kg of Xiaomi Pro being heavier when you need to carry your scooter (e.g. when combining it with public transport). I prefer that the battery is stored under the footrest as it offers a better driving experience with its lower center of gravity. In contrast to Xiaomi the battery of the Ninebot ES versions is stored in the steerign rod.

Motor
Xiaomi Scooter Pro 300W motor vs Xiaomi M365 250W motor
The front wheel of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 / Pro 1 holds a 300W (600W peak) motor which is a plus of 50 W compared to the 250W motor of Xiaomi M365 / 1S (550W peak). Max. speed is 25km/h which is the same as for the the non-Pro versions. The stronger motor also allows a steeper gradient which is stated 20% for the Pro versions.
The 50W extra power, or in other words 20% more power, make itself felt – clearly! You accelerate faster and reach the max. speed way quicker. The extra power becomes most noticeable when going uphill as you can achieve a higher constant speed compared to M365 / 1S. Overall I clearly have the feeling that Pro is more powerful – even more than I expected beforehand!
Battery
The built in battery of Xiaomi Pro Pro 2 offer a capacity of 474 Wh compared to the 280 Wh capacity of Xiaomi Scooter 1S M365. As mentioned the battery sits below the footstep of the scooter. Both Pro models should reach a range of 45km (compared to 30km for 1S / M365). Remark: Xiaomi states the tested range as follows: 75kg driver with fully charged scooter going constantly 15 km/h on a flat surface with no wind at 25°C temperature.
I wanted to upgrade from M365 since my drive to work is about 12km one way. With M365 I arrived at work with about 39% of the battery left. Towards the end of the ride I noticed a decrease in performance. It was not possible to do a roundtrip (24km) with full speed (25 km/h mode). For me the tested max. range with M365 was 18km with full speed (as long as possible) on an average road with some “normal” hills and stop go drive due to traffic lights. With Xiaomi Scooter Pro I can do the 24km roundtrip without a significant decrease in performance. There’s only a slight power loss after 20km when going uphill as it takes a bit longer to reach max. speed. I had no problems to reach 30km with the Pro version. Remark: The range depends on a lot of factors so it can vary a lot. Main factor is the weight of the driver and it is also influenced by the road condition if it is flat and if you are going at a constant speed.
Tires Brakes
Xiaomi Scooter Pro vs Xiaomi M365 – Brakes Tires
All Xiaomi Scooter models are fitted with tube air tires instead of solid rubber tires, e.g. found on Ninebot ES2. This offers advantages and disadvantages. I prefer tube air tires as they offer a smoother ride compared to the solid tires of Ninebot ES2 (which even has suspension). Of course they can deflate or puncture. All Xiaomi models are fitted with 8,5″ tires; recommended pressure is 50 psi (3.4 bar).
All Xiaomi Scooter models offer the same two separated brake systems: Integrated in the front wheel there is an eABS, regenerative anti-lock braking system. When you release the accelerator lever, the front wheel slowly brakes and the generated energy flows back into battery. Only the German verison of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 has a separate handle for this brake. Brake strength can be defined within the app. The back wheel holds a 120mm disk brake which is activated with the brake handle on the steering bar. In the picture above you can see that the brakes of Xiaomi Pro 1 and M365 are different. Some users reported that the disk brake used on Xiaomi M365 is not as firm and can bend. So the brake was upgraded on the Pro model which is now way firmer. This brake is also used on Pro 2 and well as on Xiaomi Scooter 1S.
I know many users dislike the air tube tires on the Xiaomi Scooters as you can get a flat tire. I once had a puncture and the tire is hard to change. But still I prefer the air tube tires. I compared the Xiaomi Scooter to Ninebot ES which uses solid tires and even has suspension on front and back wheel. Still the driving experience on Xiaomi is way better as the air tube tires offer a more comfortable and smoother ride. Since the air tube tires smoothen the ride on uneven roads very well I’m also not switching them to solid tires on my Xiaomi- Scooter.
Xiaomi Scooter Pro versions in a nutshell
Do I feel a difference riding a Pro version compared to the regular versions? Yes, a lot. Once you get used to the Pro version you don’t want to switch back. You get used to the faster acceleration and you clearly feel the stronger motor when going on hilly roads. The larger footrest is more comfortable.

Performance Overview
Like its predecessor, the M365 Pro doesn’t compromise on performance. Its 8.5-inch air-filled tyres are large enough to offer the required stability and are solid enough to supply a smooth roll. Disappointingly though, this scooter doesn’t have any suspension which means you will want to keep off rough terrains and bumpy roads. It can be challenging to keep the throttle pushed down—or even to hold the scooter with one arm – on uneven terrains.
The 300W motor supplies enough power to yield a top speed of 15.5 mph. It also enables riders to climb small hills effortlessly, while keeping a decent pace (depending on their weight and other conditions). For those who want to release the throttle and relax a little bit when riding for long distances, you can activate cruise control with a mere push of a button.
Additionally, you’ll never have to worry about stopping when cruising on the M365 Pro. It comes with a dual-braking system that delivers superb braking performance, enhanced heat management and smooth and comfortable rides. Other features that contribute to fantastic performance include the LED display that allows you to check your speed, mode and battery charge. Its bright front and rear lights enhance visibility for those who enjoy riding after the sun goes down.
The performance class of the Xiaomi M365 Pro is entry level – meaning it’s a scooter that can be ridden by most age groups. The power delivery is smooth and the ride is not intimidating, the scooter is light, easy to handle and because of those reasons, is a first choice for many entry level scooter riders looking to get their first electric scooter.
Don’t expect bursts of power – this is an entry level scooter with a torque output of around 16nm (newton meters) or 12 lbf-ft). But do expect something that’s super easy to ride and really smooth on acceleration.
Top Speed Acceleration
Although we expected this scooter to offer more in terms of speed, it still has the same 15.5 mph (25 km/h) of its predecessor. Even so, this is enough for all your suburban commutes. Riders seeking more thrill and adrenaline rush should probably look elsewhere.
What we found impressive on this aspect is that Xiaomi M365 Pro features an effective launch that rises to 15.5 mph (25 km/h) in just six seconds. However, riders must kick-push the scooter manually for no less than 2 mph before engaging the throttle. It also comes with three ride modes that allow cruising at various speeds.
The acceleration overall is sufficient for most people, however anyone who’s ridden a scooter with 1000w will likely find the M365 Pro lacklustre.
The original and M365 Pro have gained popularity amongst the “firmware” hacking community. The top speed of the scooter can be increased by a firmware hack that will override a limiter in the controller – some riders have reported speeds of 20-25 mph (32 – 40 km/h) depending on the hack implemented.
Be warned – ANY firmware hack will immediately invalidate the Xiaomi M365 Pros warranty.
We have found a video from Digs Moto which shows an M365 PRO apparently doing 31 mph (50 km/h) however as one Youtuber pointed out, the Xiaomi’s built-in speedometer isn’t overly accurate – but needless to say this looks a lot quicker than the quoted 15 – 18 mph (24 – 29 km/h).
Battery Life Range
One of the highlights of the Xiaomi M365 Pro is its large and powerful battery. The 36V 12800mAh lithium-ion battery is solid enough to power a 300W motor and deliver a fantastic range of 27 miles. When the scooter’s charge is drained to 10%, it automatically lowers the maximum speed. The only drawback is that it requires nine hours to charge fully.
The 365 Pro’s average battery consumption works out to around 1.1kWh per 62 miles (99 km) ridden – so that works out at just over 2 full battery charges.
The Xiaomi M365 Pro’s battery offers up a total of 460Wh which is VERY impressive for such a small scooter, to put it into perspective a Dualtron Thunder which is SUBSTANTIALLY more powerful offers up 2100wh – now consider the price difference, the M365 is 1/8th the price but has 1/4 of the equivalent battery capacity.
Motor Configuration
The Xiaomi M365 Pro comes with a robust 300W motor that produces a top speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h). Although this speed is enough to make you feel like you’re rushing somewhere, it’s not fast enough to give you an adrenaline rush. The scooter comes with three ride modes for your riding convenience. These include the Eco Mode, Drive Mode, and Sports Mode, with top speeds of 9.3 mph (15 km/h), 12.4 mph (20 km/h) and 15.5 mph (25 km/h), respectively.
Construction Build Quality
Xiaomi’s reputation for building top-quality electric scooters is unrivalled, and the M365 Pro is no exception. All its parts scream quality, from the deck and stem to the handlebars and brakes. This bulky beast comes with a solid and sturdy aluminium-alloy frame that anchors all the other components. It has a matte black finish with splashes of red on the front wheel and brake-cable housing. Everything on this mini vehicle feels compact and robust.
Suspension
The Xiaomi M365 Pro does not feature independent suspension however there are third party suspension options including the MONORIM V3 suspension kit for Xiaomi M365.
Ride Quality
For an entry-level scooter, the Xiaomi M365 Pro delivers a commendable riding experience. Its excellent combination of weight, power, geometry, and tyres creates a fantastic ride quality. Although the pressure-filled tyres don’t have an integrated suspension, they supply an unmatched surface grip and allow you to control the machine effortlessly.
The extended deck offers comfortable foot space for individuals of all weights and heights, while the long handlebars offer enough latching space for adults of all sizes. However, we advise keeping off rough terrains when riding this scooter due to the constant vibrations.
Braking
The M365 Pro comes with a dual-brake system that consists of rear and front brakes – linked and controlled by a single lever. The 120 mm rear disc brake boasts nicely routed cables that allow smooth activation. With this braking system, you can bring the scooter to a halt in three seconds when cruising at full speed. There is also a regenerative brake, whose power can be adjusted through the provided Bluetooth-enabled app.
Portability
Collapsing the Xiaomi M365 Pro takes just a couple of seconds, given its proprietary, tried-and-tested folding mechanism. The machine is held in the folded position by the bell, which latches onto the fender. But even with this innovative design, the scooter is a little bulky, weighing up to 31.3 pounds (14 kg). You certainly wouldn’t want to carry it for extended distance or up several flights of stairs.
Lights
The 1.1W LED headlight positioned between the handlebars helps to light up your way when darkness finds you outside. However, it doesn’t produce enough light, meaning you may need additional light if you often drive after the sunset. The Xiaomi M365 Pro scooter also comes with a taillight that is always on; this helps to signal other motorists. The backlight flashes when the brake is engaged which indicates that the mini vehicle is slowing down.
Tyres
The Xiaomi M365 Pro comes with the same 8.5-inch air-filled pneumatic tyres as the previous version. These tyres have a reputation of offering a smooth and decent ride when traversing on level grounds, and they absorb shocks from bumps well. However, this scooter lacks an integrated suspension, so if you hit large potholes or try to tackle cobblestones, you’ll most likely feel the vibrations.
Deck

The deck is finished with a rubber coating and is covered in nubs to increase traction and provide more stability. For an entry-level scooter, the deck size is amazing. Another fantastic upgrade is the magnetized rubber cover which encloses the charging port on the front corner of the deck.
Controls Display
Like any other scooter, the Xiaomi M365 Pro electric scooter’s controls are positioned between the handlebars. You can find the throttle on the right handlebar, the brakes on the left, and the glossy display and bell in the centre. Riders can view several details on the LED dashboard, including battery level, speed and riding mode.
