This is the best battery you can buy for 48v. Mine has been nothing short of amazing. I left a review a while ago saying about my powered on off button going out, which was well past warranty, and they offered to replace it free of charge of I pay shipping fees, or they would send me the button for shipping price. My bike is my every day commute, so I didn’t have time to wait. Well they didn’t stop there….they told me how to replace it with a switch I got myself, step by step. Now, I have owned this battery for about 5 years and it still doesn’t skip a beat. Outstanding. And still to this day, if I have any questions,I contact the amazing Rafe. These guys deserve 10 ’s
I purchased a battery before I had a bike and they helped me find one that fit it. The BMS in the battery gets messed up after the warranty is up and they still guide me through fixing the issue. Amazing support beyond what I would expect from anyone.
This battery has been nothing short of amazing. Only issue I am having is with the power button. It seems to be maybe “going out”? As it is hard sometimes to get it to stay pressed in
I received the battery and motor kit and installed it with some hardships involved, Had to retrofit a few parts on my bicycle, but what can you expect from an E-bike Kit? It had to happen. Anyways, I put about 1,500 Miles on the kit already in 2 months and I have nothing but praise. My biggest complaint is that there is no programming manual for the controller to mess with the settings on it such as power output, battery cutoff voltage and other configurations. It’s all preset automatically. I received a battery that I ordered (48V 20A) It works wonders, i am able to achieve about 30-31mph on flats on a full charge and sometimes 34-35 if i am pedaling vigorously! The battery, however one of the buttons for the pack that is responsible for controlling the light functions that connect to the outlet never worked and I contacted him a few times to either replace the battery pack or send me a kit to repair the button; but he never followed through after two months of contacting him. I only have praise for how wonderful this kit is, but the biggest takeaway is that faulty button on the pack and the customer service which has me a little upset. I sent him a few e-mails regarding the specifications and how to work with the controller and he as well failed to respond to my inquiries. Fantastic product, but the customer service definitely is a bit lacking.
I own 3 of these. Love ’em. Bought the first because work is 18 miles away from home. I ride an ELF from Organic Transport and the 15AH battery that comes with it is more than adequate in the MN summer but not in winter. Was changing batteries half way there. Bought a 15AH replacement from Rafe and loved it, but physics still rules. Went back for a second and he was out of the 15AH but suggested that I give one of these a try. Now I can make it to work on one battery even at 10 degrees F. Fits nicely in the battery holder. Comes with two small Anderson connectors on the battery AND a black and red Anderson connector already attached to 12 G wires so I could make an adapter to the large Anderson connector the ELF uses. Has an on/off switch that I have to tape in the “on” position given the battery holder I am putting the battery into The one problem is that on one unit, one of the Velcro straps that are designed to attach the battery to a regular bicycle frame has torn off. This is from carrying the battery into the house to charge it up and carrying it only by that strap. I would advise others to carry it with two straps at least. It does come with a battery charger for when the solar cell on the ELF can’t recharge it fully in the feeble light of a MN Fall and Winter. These have one problem as well: the fan has ended up making a lot of noise. I returned one to Rafe within a year and got a prompt replacement. Rafe has always been prompt to respond to emails and ship product. When the above things happened, he made them right immediately. I highly recommend this business and their products.

How Long to Charge 48v Ebike Battery?
You need a charger that is compatible with your 48v battery. When you have the right charger for your ebike battery, it may take somewhere around 4-6 hours to fully charge the 48v ebike battery from zero percent.
I mean your charger voltage must be equal to your battery’s voltage i.e., you need a 48v charger to charge 48v ebike battery. And the charger comes with different Amp ratings such as 2-Amp, 3-Amp, 4-Amp, and so on.
